This class helps children build balance, coordination, strength, and body awareness while developing confidence and a love of physical activity.
Through structured and creative movement, children strengthen gross motor skills, upper- body strength, eye-hand coordination, bilateral movement, vestibular awareness, crossing the midline, and large muscle control. Activities include aerobics, yoga, cooperative games, and locomotor play, along with foundational sports skills such as kicking a ball, shooting a basket, throwing and catching, and puck movement.
Children explore movement using engaging equipment such as balance beams, stepping stones, ladders, scooter boards, balls, and hoops, creating opportunities for problem-solving, teamwork, and physical confidence. Music and rhythm are integrated into lessons. While shapes, colors, letters, and numbers are incorporated to support early learning and reinforce classroom topics through active play.
Our Motor Skills program supports physical development, cognitive growth, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and social-emotional learning, making it an ideal enrichment class for young children.
