This year we’ll have…
Skip to food- Face painting and balloon animals, a bounce house and an inflatable obstacle course, a dance party and live music, the cake walk, carnival games (the fish pond, the color wheel and Silly String, with new prizes), food trucks, the Kindergarten Snack Table, a bake sale and a scavenger hunt. Every class runs a booth too, so there’s even more to find on the day. We’re also hoping to bring back a puppet show.

The Kindergarten Snack Table
Find the Snack Table in the main parking lot, by the big-playground fence. A Kindergarten class runs it, and it takes tickets or cash.
Bake sale
Two treats to a bag
Brownies, bars, cookies, cupcakes and muffins from Discovery families, two to a bag, every bag labeled for allergens.
Priced by the bag.
Then try the cake walk: walk the circle and you could take home a whole cake baked by a Discovery family.

Good to know
Is it free to get in?
Yes, admission is free. You buy carnival tickets for the games and booths.
What’s good for a 3‑year‑old? A 6‑year‑old?
Plenty for both. It’s a child-centered day, and Discovery’s own students are 2-year-olds through first graders. For little ones: the fish pond, balloon animals, face painting and the bounce house. For bigger kids: the obstacle course, Silly String, the color wheel, the scavenger hunt and the dance party.
How do tickets work?
Games and booths take carnival tickets, and the Snack Table takes tickets or cash. Tickets can be purchased with cash or Venmo, and the food trucks accept cards.
We have food allergies. What should we know?
Every bake sale bag is labeled with its allergens, and gluten-free and dairy-free treats are on the bakers’ list. Ask each food truck about its own menu.
Where do we park?
Park along the streets around the school, or in the small lot at Salem Dr and La Manda Blvd.
Who can come?
Kids of all ages and their grown-ups. Invite your friends, neighbors, soccer team, and anyone who loves a good carnival.
Is it stroller and wheelchair friendly?
Yes, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
What if it rains?
A rain plan will be posted here before the day.
Can we take pictures?
Of your own crew, absolutely. Please check with families before posting photos of other people’s children.
